Water Saving Tip:

Change spray sprinklers to low-flow bubbler or drip systems. Shrubs and trees are ideal candidates for this type of irrigation because the water is applied directly to the root zones.

This Utah native is a tough, hardy perennial that is well suited to very dry gardens. Large, papery white petals surround showy yellow stamens. Blooms June through September. Stems and leaves are covered in prickly hairs, so don't place it near a path. The height varies with seed source, and can be anywhere from 15 to 40 inches tall.
