Sweet mockorange is a deciduous shrub growing 8 to 10 feet tall and wide, with a rounded shape, and stiff, upright arching branches. Leaves are pointed ovals, slightly toothed, and of a dark to medium green color. White, fragrant, four-petaled flowers bloom in clusters late May to early June. Bark is oragne to reddish brown, with mature wood exfoliating in strips. An old fashioned shrub, useful in shrub borders.
