Parson's juniper is a low-growing evergreen, with upright branchlets giving the plant a vertical effect. Grows about 2 to 3 feet tall and eventually 8 to 9 feet wide. Great heat tolerance, and will tolerate some shade.
Makes an attractive accent or groundcover. Does not require shearing to maintain its shape. Slow to medium growth. Prefers full sun and moderate to low moisture. Will grow in nearly any soil type, as long as it is well-drained, including sandy, gravelly, and clay soils. Tolerates heat, including reflective heat. Drought tolerant once established; requires only periodic watering.
