'Moonlight' is a anthemis cultivar with an erect, clump-forming, shrubby habit growing to 2 feet tall and wide. It has a profusion of large, daisy-like, pale yellow, flowers that bloom June to September. Finely divided, fern-like, aromatic, green leaves are whitish and woolly beneath. Flowers may fade over time to near white. Good fresh cut flower.
Grow in full sun in well draining soil. Prefers loose soils and does not do well in heavy clay soils, though will grow in loamy-clay soils. Prefers dry to medium moisture. Resistant to rabbit and deer; attractive to butterflies. Deadheading will lengthen the bloom season, and if plants become floppy during the season, shear them back to about 6 inches or so. Hardy to USDA Zone 3. A hardy perennial, not to be confused with Margarite Daisy, which is a popular annual that is not winter hardy.
