Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.

Andorra broom is an evergreen, densely rounded sub-shrub from the mountains of Spain, growing about 4 feet tall and 6 feet wide. It has pea-like yellow flowers that bloom in early spring. Foliage is soft green to grey-green and finely textured. Privides winter interest. Use in a shrub or foundation border.
Grow in well drained soil in full sun to part shade. This plant tolerates a wide range of soil (loam, clay loam or gravelly), as long as it is well drained. It thrives on a low-water regimen, though will tolerate more water, though it may get a little leggy and floppy. Prune hard after flowering if the shrub is in need of tidying.
