Purple Robe is a low-growing, mat forming plant grown in our area as an annual, though technically it is a perennial (it is not winter-hardy). Purple, bell shaped cups bloom mid to late spring; in cooler elevations it may bloom through the summer (bench areas and higher).
Grow in full sun to partial shade; in our hot, arid climate it will perform better with some mid to late day shade. Grow in well draining soil. Cut back hard after first flush of flowering slows to encourage more flowering. In our climate, this is best used in spring as flowering slows with the heat of summer.
