Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.

'Lemon Queen' is a vigorous perennial sunflower, with clouds of large, daisy-like lemon-yellow flowers from late summer into fall. Erect stems are covered in deep green, narrow leaves, creating a statuesque presence in the garden, and the plant grows about 7 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide. Use at the back of a perennial border, along a fence, as a seasonal screen, or anywhere that you have a bit of room and desire some cheery yellowiness.
