Lorberg Peashrub is a unique form of peashrub, having long arching branches which give the plant a weeping appearance. The leaflets are longer and narrower than those of the species giving it a finer texture. Yellow pea-like flowers in spring followed by small pods. Interesting specimen, especially for harsh sites. Sometimes grafted onto an interstem, and so size varies, though usually under 12 feet tall. If ungrafted, it will be a rounded shrub; if grafted, more tree-like.
Extremely cold hardy; tolerates poor soils, drought, alkalinity, salt, wind. Good for hedges and screens. Blooms on previous year's wood, so prune right after flowering, if necessary.
