Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.

This beautiful garden tree is small, deciduous, and well suited to small spaces, entries, patios, and groupings. It has a rounded crown, low branching habit and grows about 12 to 18 feet tall and wide. Petite purple-red flowers appear in late winter in bare branches or reddish-brown bark. Leaves emerge later, pink-tinged and heart-shaped, eventually turning a lustrous deep green. Fall color is yellow.
