Water Saving Tip:

Change spray sprinklers to low-flow bubbler or drip systems. Shrubs and trees are ideal candidates for this type of irrigation because the water is applied directly to the root zones.

Yucca rostrata is a slow growing succulent that is tree-like when mature. It has stiff, blue, 2' long leaves with yellow margins. It forms a tall narrow trunk 10' tall. A spectacular summer display of creamy white flowers on an orange stalk rises above the foliage on mature plants. It prefers full sun or very light shade and rocky, well drained, alkaline soil. Be careful not to plant near walkways as foliage has sharp tips. It is drought tolerant once it's established.
