Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.

A small sub-shrublet forming a mound 1 to 2 feet tall and not as wide. Evergreen foliage is light green and narrow. Orangish-red flowers appear in mid-summer, later than most penstemons, and generally lasts into the fall. Bridges penstemon has an open and airy appearance which blends well with ornamental grasses. A Utah native.
