Coral Beauty cotoneaster is a free-fruiting shrub that forms a dense mat of glossy, evergreen foliage. Grows 1 to 2 feet tall and 3 to 6 feet wide. Small white flowers in late May are followed by red berries that remain on the shrub through late summer and into autumn. Though it's evergreen, the leaves take on a purplish tinge in the fall. Excellent on banks, gentle slopes, masses, and shrub borders.
Adaptable to soil type as long as it is well drained. Plant in full to part sun. Plant it where is has the room to spread out, as shearing will create a stiff and woody appearance. If pruning is necessary, prune selectively (see the Guides for more information).
