This lovely, large deciduous tree grows about 50 feet tall or more, and 30 feet or more wide. It has unique, large, tulip-shaped bluish-green leaves that turn golden yellow in the fall. Tulip-shaped blossoms appear late May through mid-June; petals are yellow green and the inside of the corolla base is orange. There is a lovely specimen near the north-east corner of Liberty Park.
