This charming little perennial grows to form a dense mat of silvery foliage. Fuzzy white flowers that are reminiscent of a cat's paw form in early summer. No need to deadhead as they sort of just fade way. Grows 2 to 6 inches high and will spread about 18 inches. Tolerates light foot traffic, and so is suitable for the edges of pathways; also great in sunny parkstrips and rock gardens.
A Utah native. Grow in full to part sun in any well drained soil. Basal foliage may persist into winter, though after particularly wet springs the plant may die back in spots. If this happens, gently trim out dead sections and remaining plant will fill in.
