Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.

'Autumn Amber' is another form of aromatic sumac with a prostrate form, growing about 18 inches tall and 6 to 8 feet wide. It has an abundance of mid-spring, chartreuse flowers which are followed by red berries that ripen in late summer. Foliage is a glossy green and deeply toothed, and has a lovely amber-yellow fall color. A tough ground cover well suited to difficult sites, slopes, under trees, or anywhere that a lustrous, low-maintenance ground cover is desired.
