Water Saving Tip:

Even though it's hot, your lawn only needs to be watered twice a week to stay healthy.

And don't water the whole lawn for a brown spot—drag out a hose.

A small sub-shrublet forming a mound 1 to 2 feet tall and not as wide. Evergreen foliage is light green and narrow. Orangish-red flowers appear in mid-summer, later than most penstemons, and generally lasts into the fall. Bridges penstemon has an open and airy appearance which blends well with ornamental grasses. A Utah native.
Grow in well drained soil, either gravelly, sandy-loam, or clay-loam. This penstemon will tolerate a bit of filtered shade. It has a high drought tolerance.
