Not a shrub, this Potentilla is a tight, low growing groundcover that blooms in late spring with a flush of bright yellow flowers. A great choice for medium moist to moist soils, ‘Nana’ is recommended to plant between pavers and flagstone or as a groundcover for small spaces (it will tolerate light foot traffic). The plant will occasionally re-bloom in the fall. It grows about 2 to 4 inches tall and 10 to 12 inches wide. Some sources list it as evergreen, but I think it depends on the winter.

Grow in well drained soils, a little loamy, in full to part sun. If the plants are looking a little tatty after the winter, you can prune them back - a lawn mower, set high, can do the job in a larger area, otherwise, use pruners or hedge shears (but not power shears).
