Water Saving Tip:

Even though it's hot, your lawn only needs to be watered twice a week to stay healthy.

And don't water the whole lawn for a brown spot—drag out a hose.

  • Notes

Parry's penstemon has a loose, open habit and lavender to pink spring flowers. The leaves are bluish-green and narrow. It grows between 3 and 4 feet tall and half as wide. It is attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies, and has a high drought tolerance.
Grow in full sun and well-drained soil. Parry's is thought to be frost tolerant to 15 F, so it may not be suited to the higher bench elevations.
