Pearly Everlasting blooms late summer into early fall. Flowers are star-shaped, greyish white with yellow eyes. Foliage is grey and fuzzy, giving it a silvery appearance. Excellent dried flower, cut as the yellow eye starts to appear. Grows 12 to 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Nice as a foil to brighter perennials in a border, or for natural, meadow-like landscapes.
A Utah native. Grows best in full sun and well drained soil. Too much water will case the plant to rot. Divide every 3 to 4 years in the spring to maintain plant vigor.
