'Santa Fe' is a cultivar of Maximillian Sunflower, selected by Sante Fe Greenhouses (High Counrty Gardens), for its large golden-yellow autumn flowers that form along the top half of the stems, and dense, deep green foliage. Grows about 6 to 8 feet tall and about half as wide. Makes a nice summer hedge or a statement at the back of the perennial border. Attracts butterflies, not generally enjoyed by deer or rabbits.

Grow in well drained, medium to dry, average to poor soil in full sun. It does tolerate humusy/clay soils. Drought tolerant. Cut back in late winter.
