Native to the Rocky Mountains, this perennial is a rugged, Rocky Mountain cousin to Monarda didyma. It grows in a more open clump, with small, fine foliage that is deeply scented. Flowers are clusters of tiny blossoms that form at the terminal end of a stem. They grow about 12 inches tall and 18 inches wide. A great choice for a naturally styled garden, rock gardens, and meadows.
