This spirea, a spring bloomer, has a graceful, dense, arching habit and grows about 5 to 6 feet tall and wide. Fragrant white flowers emerge along the branches before leaves emerge, creating a fountain of white. Leaves are narrow and a soft green. Similar in appearance to bridalwreath spirea, though of a more compact nature. Well suited to foundation or shrub borders, as a hedge, or as a bright spring focal-point.
Grow in well drained, loamy soil in full sun. Will grow in sandy- or clay-loam soils. Though not drought tolerant, it does well with weekly watering during the hottest summer months. Prune to renovate immediately after flowering (see Guides).
