Littleleaf mockorange is a deciduous shrub with an upright to rounded form, growing about 6 feet tall and for feet wide. It has small, narrow, finely textured green foliage, turning yellow in autumn. Fragrant, white, four-petaled flowers appear in clusters from late spring to early summer. Bark is reddish-brown and exfoliating. A Utah native, it is found is shady canyons. A wonderful addition to the shrub or foundation border.

Grow in well drained soil in full sun to light shade (it will grow more dense and compacted when planted in full sun). Adaptive to gravelly, rocky soils and high pH. Tolerates dry, well drained soils. If pruning is necessary, do so selectively or to renovate (see Guides).
