Blue mint bush is a great addition to a perennial border. It grows about 15 inches tall and wide, and has dark green leaves that have an intensely minty scent. Clusters of blue thyme-like flowers bloom on stem ends in the summer, and are highly attractive to butterflies. Planted in the Washington Square Garden.
Grow in full sun to part shade in dry, well draining, infertile soils. Trim the back back in spring to encourage a bushier habit and more flowers. Deer and rabbit resistant.
