Pyrenees cotoneaster is a low-growing, compact, dense, evergreen shrub. The branches arch up and then curve down, forming a compact, rounded mass. The leaves are dull green to blue-green; spring flowers are pinkish white and are followed by round, red berries that persist into winter. Well suited to rock gardens, or the edges of shrub borders. Grows about 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 feet tall and wide.

A broad, dense, pyramidal evergreen, valuable as a specimen, for massing, as a windbreak, or screen. The needles are green, with white undersides; the branches are ascending; and the cones between 1 to 2 1/2 inches long and pale brown. 30 to 60 feet tall and 20 or more feet wide; many varieties are available, with a variety of growth habits.

Honeylocust are prized for their fine-textured leaves that provide a pleasant, dappled shade. Generally with light green leaves; some cultivars have yellow spring growth. Open and spreading crown makes for a fine shade tree. Bark is a greyish-brown and furrowed. sizes range from 25 to 50 feet or more, with a spread generally less than the height. Golden yellow fall color and open winter silhouette provides attractive fall and winter appearance. Deciduous.

Weeping Norway spruce is an artful accent evergreen with weeping, spreading branches. Spring growth is a bright green, with summer needles a rich green. Typically it is grown on a stake to feature its pendulous habit; it's height depends on where it is staked, but generally from 3 to 10 feet tall and up to 10 feet wide. It can also be grown as an undulating groundcover, draping over walls and slopes.
