Water Saving Tip:

Change spray sprinklers to low-flow bubbler or drip systems. Shrubs and trees are ideal candidates for this type of irrigation because the water is applied directly to the root zones.

A cultivar of Little Bluestem, Blaze has outstanding red fall color, which it holds into the winter, though it does fade to a bright pink. Developed by Nebraska State University agronomists. An excellent grass for dry gardens and native wildflower plantings. It grows 2 to 3 feet tall and about 15 inches wide.
Grow in full sun and most any soils, including clay, though they must be well draining. Cut back in late winter to early spring.
