This annual flower is from South Africa and is frequently found in wild flower mixes. The flowers are daisy-like, in shades of yellows, oranges, and apricot, with a dark ring around the golden orange, dark-centered, central disk. The leaves are lightly hairy, often coarsely toothed, and oblong to oblanceolate in shape. It may reseed, but is an annual. Grows about a foot tall and wide.
Grow in well-drained soil in full sun; tolerates poor and gravelly soils. Broadcast seed in spring after danger of frost is past. Attracts butterflies.
