Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.

'Old Gold' is a compact, spreading evergreen that grows about 2 to 3 feet tall and 4 to 4 feet wide, with newer foliage emerging a bronze-gold color, that persists well through the summer months and into the winter. Useful in masses, as a taller groundcover, and as a brighter accent against taller, darker green shrubs.
Makes an attractive accent, mass planting, or groundcover. Does not require shearing to maintain its shape. Slow to medium growth. Prefers full sun and moderate to low moisture. Will grow in nearly any soil type, as long as it is well-drained, including sandy, gravelly, and clay soils. Tolerates heat, including reflective heat. Drought tolerant once established; requires only periodic watering.
