This twinspur is dependably cold hardy, even in our USDA Zone 5 winters. Its coral-salmon flowers bloom throughout the summer, and stand out against the bright green foliage. It has a sort of mounding to cascading habit, so plant it to take advantage of it tumble of coral. Grows about 15 inches tall by 18 inches wide.
Grow in well drained garden soil in full sun to part shade. It prefers soils amended with compost, if they aren't already loamy. Wet soils will keep it from over-wintering. It benefits from regular watering.
